C Minor Form Pentatonic Scale

Here is how the C minor form pentatonic scale looks.  The Cm chord form shape is highlighted in red.  Pay close attention to the fingerings.

Important points:

  • Always start and end on the root note when initially learning this scale.
  • Learn where the root notes are.
  • Play in succession with the Cm form arpeggio in order to learn where the chord tones are.
  • Be sure to get the fingerings correct.  Playing the right notes is only half of the battle!
